We want you to enjoy your time in Eleuthera and have a smooth, worry-free rental experience. The following guidelines are designed to help you take good care of your vehicle and avoid unnecessary charges or deductions from your refundable security deposit.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. A $100 cleaning fee will apply if the vehicle is returned with any smell or evidence of smoking.

Vehicle Damage

Please exercise care when driving, particularly on Eleuthera’s narrow roads and when driving near the edge of the roadway, to avoid scraping or damaging the sides of the vehicle. Buffing and removing scratches or scuffs will cost $100 per affected side, plus any additional costs for repainting or bodywork if required.

Damaged Tires

If you experience a flat tire, please pull over immediately and contact us for assistance. Driving on a flat tire may cause additional damage to the tire or rim and will result in the tire and/or rim being replaced at your expense. If a tire is damaged beyond repair after hitting a pothole, the cost of the replacement tire and any necessary repairs to the rim will be your responsibility. If you experience a flat tire caused by a nail, screw, or similar object and pull over immediately, allowing the tire to be safely repaired, there will be no charge to you.

Refueling

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of pickup. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a $20 refueling service charge will apply, in addition to the cost of the missing fuel.

Excessive Sand

As Eleuthera is a beautiful beach destination, we completely understand that some sand may find its way into the vehicle during your stay. However, we kindly ask that you make every effort to keep sand to a reasonable level, especially when transporting children, beach chairs, coolers, and other beach equipment. Vehicles should not be returned excessively covered in sand or in a condition that requires extensive cleaning. A $50 excessive sand cleaning fee will apply to vehicles returned excessively dirty or filled with sand.

Key Fobs

Please take care of your key fob during your rental. A lost or damaged key fob will result in the following charges:
  • $50 – Fee to bring out the spare key.
  • $150 – Replacement key fob.
Please be especially careful not to enter the ocean or a swimming pool with the key fob in your pocket. Do not allow the key fob to fall into water or become wet in any way. Water damage to the key fob may result in a replacement charge.

Dead Battery / Jump-Start Service

Please make sure all lights, accessories, and electronics are turned off when leaving the vehicle. If the vehicle’s battery becomes discharged due to renter negligence, such as leaving the lights or accessories on, a $50 service charge will apply for roadside assistance and jump-starting the vehicle.

If a battery fails due to natural causes or normal wear and tear, there will be no charge to the renter. We regularly inspect and replace our vehicle batteries as needed and on schedule to help prevent unexpected battery failures.

Any replacement battery or additional repair costs resulting from renter negligence will be the renter’s responsibility.

Missing Items

If the vehicle is returned with missing items, including but not limited to the spare tire, hubcaps, jack or jack components, or cell phone charger, the cost of replacing the missing items will be deducted from the refundable security deposit.
